During the visit, one of our senior estimators walks through the entire project with you. We take detailed measurements, discuss your colour preferences, note any prep work required, and answer every question you have.
Within 24 hours of the visit you will receive a written, fixed-price quote broken down by area. No vague line items, no ballpark ranges, no surprises. The price you see is the price you pay.
We are also happy to recommend colours and finishes if you are unsure where to start. We carry fan decks from Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams and can arrange colour samples for your walls.

Surface Preparation
The step that separates a professional job from a DIY one
Preparation is the most important step in any paint job, and it is where most DIY repaints fail. At SGH Painting, prep is never rushed.
Our crew arrives with everything needed to protect your space. Furniture is moved to the centre of the room and covered with canvas drop cloths. Floors are protected, light switches and outlets are masked, and trim is taped where needed.
Surface prep includes filling all nail holes, dents, and cracks with lightweight compound, sanding smooth, and cleaning any grease or residue from the walls. Where required we apply a primer coat to seal the surface, cover stains, or build adhesion on new drywall.
We do not consider a surface ready until it would pass inspection even before the paint goes on.

Expert Paint Application
Premium paint applied right the first time
We use premium Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams paints, sourced at trade pricing and included in your quote. You choose the colours and sheen levels; we handle everything else.
Our application method depends on the surface. Smooth walls are rolled with a quality nap roller for an even finish. Trim, doors, and intricate areas are cut in by hand with an angled brush for crisp, sharp lines. Open architectural surfaces may be spray-applied for the most flawless result.
Typically two finish coats go on over the primed surface. We sand lightly between coats if needed, and we never rush the drying time. Every coat is fully dry before the next one begins.
Throughout the application phase we monitor coverage, sheen consistency, and edge quality. Any imperfection caught during the job is fixed before we move on.

Final Walkthrough and Cleanup
We do not leave until you are completely satisfied
When the final coat is dry, we do a complete interior cleanup. All masking tape is removed carefully, drop cloths are folded and taken away, and the site is left cleaner than we found it.
We then walk through the entire project with you, room by room. We look at every edge, corner, and surface together. If you notice anything that does not meet expectations, we address it on the spot before we leave.
Once you are satisfied, we hand over care instructions and your written five-year workmanship warranty. The warranty covers any peeling, cracking, or flaking caused by our application for five years from completion.
We stay in touch after the job. If anything comes up in the weeks following the project, one call brings us back at no cost to you.

Why the process matters
