How is painting priced?

Residential painting is quoted per room based on the size of the space, the number of coats required, the complexity of the trim work, and any prep needed. We provide an itemised written quote so you know exactly what you are paying for.

Do you charge by the hour or by the job?

We price by the job, not the hour. This means your final cost is fixed from the start and does not change if the job takes longer than expected. The only exception is if the scope of work changes after the quote is issued.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept e-transfer, credit card, and cheque. A deposit is required upon booking to secure your start date, with the balance due on completion.

We ask you to clear small decorative items from shelves and walls, remove any items from inside closets if those are being painted, and move valuables to a safe location. Our crew handles furniture and floor protection.

No. We supply all paint and materials at trade pricing and include them in your quote. You choose the colours and sheen levels, and we handle the rest. We source from Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams as our standard brands.

Typically two coats over a properly primed surface. New drywall, drastic colour changes, and some dark or saturated colours may require a primer coat plus two finish coats. We specify the number of coats in your written quote.

Yes. Minor repairs such as nail holes, small dents, and hairline cracks are included as part of our standard prep. Larger repairs, significant drywall damage, or water stain blocking are quoted as separate line items.

Not necessarily. Many of our clients are at work while we are on-site. We just need access to the property and an emergency contact number. We will send you a progress update at the end of each day.

We use low-VOC paints which produce minimal odour. You may notice a mild paint smell for a few hours after application, which dissipates quickly with ventilation. If you are sensitive, opening windows and using fans helps significantly.

We use heavy canvas drop cloths on all hard floors and plastic sheeting for carpeted areas. All furniture that cannot be removed is moved to the centre of the room and covered. Light switches, outlets, and trim adjacent to walls being painted are taped before we begin.

We offer a five-year workmanship warranty on all residential projects. If any paint peels, flakes, or cracks due to our application in that period, we will return to repaint at no charge. This does not cover damage from moisture intrusion, physical impact, or normal wear.

It is not recommended. Painting over wallpaper usually results in visible seams, bubbles, and an uneven surface. We recommend removing the wallpaper, repairing the wall, and then painting for a lasting result.

Yes. We offer spray-applied cabinet refinishing that gives a factory-smooth finish on wood, MDF, and thermofoil cabinets. It is far less expensive than replacement and takes three to five days from start to reinstallation.

Only in mild stretches when temperatures are consistently above 10 degrees Celsius and no rain or snow is expected for at least 48 hours. Most exterior work in the GTA runs from late April through October.
